Winners of Loa Thanh Awards honoured

A total of 57 outstanding graduation projects of students majoring in architecture and construction were awarded with the 32nd Loa Thanh Awards at a ceremony held at the Temple of Literature in Hanoi on December 27.

Two first prizes went to Pham Duy Tan, from the University of Architecture – Ho Chi Minh City, and Le Quoc, from the Hue University of Sciences, for their projects on the Lanh My A Museum and the Huong Vinh Canal, respectively.

15 second, 20 third and 20 consolation prizes were also presented to other excellent projects on the occasion.

The annual Loa Thanh Awards were jointly held by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Vietnam Federation of Civil Engineering Associations, and the Vietnam Association of Architects.

They aim to honour the creativity and talents of graduates from architectural and engineering universities nationwide.

This year’s event attracted the participation of students from 18 universities throughout the country with nearly 180 projects submitted in various fields including architecture-planning, civil engineering, traffic engineering, and infrastructure engineering, among others.
