The Vietnam Writers Association has announced the winners of the Literature Awards 2021 in four categories of poetry-prose, theory and critics, translation, and children’s literature. |
Accordingly, writer Nguyen Binh Phuong won the prose category for the novel ‘Mot vi du xoang’ (A mediocre example). In theory and critics, author Truong Dang Dung was honoured for research on literary texts and the instability of meaning. Translator Ha The Giang was named winner in the translation category for his translation of the ‘Out of Africa’ book by Isak Dinesen. The children’s literature prize went to ‘Mua Tieu Hoc Cuoi Cung’ (The final year of primary school) by author Le Van Nghia. Each winner is awarded a certificate of merit from the Vietnam Writers’ Association and a cash prize worth 20 million VND.
