The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union launched a mobile app on December 15 with the goal of creating a platform to connect its members and provide official and prompt information for young people. |
Developed in partnership with the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), the “Vietnamese Youth” app is available on both Android and iOS platforms. Youth Union Secretary Nguyen Ngoc Luong said the app will help enhance communication between the union and its members, and reflect their thoughts accurately. He added that young people can also access information about learning, jobs, various services as well as taking part in contests held by the Youth Union. Along with the rollout of the app, the Youth Union also launched an online contest on the 90-year history of the union, which will last until March next year. After the preliminary round, contestants with the highest scores will qualify to enter the semi-final round where they will compete in writing and multiple-choice tests. The final round is scheduled to take place in Hanoi in the form of a direct competition and the winning team will be given the opportunity to join a trip to the Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands and the DK1 platform. The cash prizes for the contest are VND80 million (nearly US$3,500). Source: Nhan Dan Online |
