VFF President visits Thai Binh’s An Lac diocese ahead of Christmas

President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Tran Thanh Man visited and extended his best Christmas wishes to Catholic dignitaries and followers of the An Lac diocese in the northern province of Thai Binh on December 12.

He emphasised the consistent policy of the Party and State of always respecting the freedom of belief and religion of all people.

He also appreciated the role and contributions of Catholic dignitaries and followers in the national construction and development. The VFF President expressed his belief that Catholic dignitaries and followers will continue to promote the patriotic tradition of making practical contributions to consolidating the national great solidarity and fostering the national development.

Bishop Nguyen Van De thanked the VFF leader as well as the care of the Party and State for Catholic dignitaries and followers in general and in Thai Binh in particular.

He said that Catholics are aware of their role and responsibility for the country and pledge to always accompany the country and contribute to building the national great solidarity and national development.

On the occasion, the VFF leader presented gifts to children with disabilities who are being cared for in An Lac diocese.
