NDO – The Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with the Vietnam Coast Guard High Command issued a stamp set on the vessels of the Vietnam Coast Guard on August 27. |
Debuted on the 22nd founding anniversary of the Vietnam Coast Guard (August 28, 1998 – 2020), the stamp set is designed to promote the land and people of Vietnam while calling on the joint efforts of all to safeguard the country’s sovereignty over its seas and islands. The set, designed by painter Nguyen Du, includes four samples measuring 43 x 32mm and a block stamp measuring 150 x 100mm. The four samples feature images of vessels 1013 (K206), 4033 (TT400), 9004, and 8003, operated by the Vietnam Coast Guard to carry out patrols and support search and rescue activities, thereby protecting Vietnam’s seas and islands. The stamp set will be available in the postal network until June 30, 2022. The set is the second one in the series of three stamp collections to be released by the Ministry of Information and Communications on the common theme of ‘Vietnam’s seas and islands’. The first one on sea creatures was introduced in 2018 and the last one will be launched in 2020, featuring endemic marine species. Source: Nhan Dan Online |
