The Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt held a photo exhibition in Cairo on November 30 to introduce the landscape, culture and people of Vietnam to Egypt public and international friends. |
The event, as part of the activities celebrating the 57th anniversary of Vietnam-Egypt diplomatic ties (September 1, 1963-2020), drew representatives from countries’ diplomatic corps in Egypt, alongside many Egyptian and international experts, cultural workers, and journalists. Visitors to the exhibition all expressed their positive impressions and feelings when admiring the unique and artistic photos of natural landscapes and people in regions across Vietnam, as well as the important political events marking the growth of bilateral relations over recent years. Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt Tran Thanh Cong highlighted Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements and some notable milestones in the relations between the two countries. Hailing Egypt as a country with long-standing culture and many historical and cultural relics, Cong voiced his hopes that through cultural events, photos, traditional dances and art performances, Egyptians would gain a better understanding of Vietnam. (Photo: VNA) He expressed his wish for enhanced exchange of cultural & art delegations between the two countries in the near future, which, he said, would enhance mutual understanding and boost bilateral tradition ties. Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Al Mesa newspaper Refaat Khaled highlighted the sound relationship between Egypt and Vietnam, hailing Vietnam as a beautiful country and a country of tourism. He voiced his hopes for Vietnam’s greater success in the future, recommending that the two countries bolster cooperation in terms of culture, economy, trade, and politics. Within the framework of the photo exhibition, visitors were also entertained with traditional cultural and musical performances by both Vietnamese and Egyptian artists.
