Ninh Binh OCOP products introduced to Hanoi consumers

 Agricultural specialties and products under the “One Commune – One Product” (OCOP) programmefrom the northern province of Ninh Binh are being showcased at the Vietnam Agriculture Promotion and Exhibition Centre in Hanoi.

The Trade Promotion Centre for Agriculture under the Ministry for Agriculture and Rural Development in partnership with the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development organized the trade fair to promote local agricultural products and NinhBinh’s OCOP products in Hanoi on October 1.

More than 100 pavilions from over 20 provinces and cities across the country are introducing various types of agricultural products and specialties including Tuyen Quang bamboo shoots, Bac Kan vermicelli, Tu Le sticky rice, Ngoc Linh fresh ginseng, Phu Yen dried beef, BinhPhuoc cashew nuts, Cai Rong fish sauce, Moc Chau vegetables, and others.

The highlight of the fair is the nearly 20 pavilions displaying specialties and farm produce from Ninh Binhprovince such as Camellia chrysantha (golden tea), turmeric starch, goat meat, Ninh Binh burned rice, Bo Bat pottery, amongst others.

Director of the Trade Promotion Centre for AgricultureDao Van Ho said that the trade fair aims to connect the supply and demand of agricultural products while promoting local product brands to Hanoi consumers.

The event is also expected to foster agricultural production after tough times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The trade fair will run until October 5 at No.489 Hoang Quoc Viet Street, Hanoi.
