More than 1,000 Da Nang students join UK Education and Technology Roadshow

 The UK Education and Technology Roadshow took place in the central coastal city of Da Nang on December 12, attracting the participation of over 1,000 students from the city.

Featuring an iconic red double-decker from the UK, the programme was held in three places including Phan Chau Trinh High School, the Vietnam-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education, and the University of Science and Technology.

Participants at the event had the opportunity to hear from young influencer and Youtuber Giang Oi about her journey in the UK and learn more about study programmes in the UK and tips on how to choose a suitable university.

They could also acquire information on Chevening – the UK’s premier governmental scholarship, find out about pursuing UK qualifications and study programmes in Vietnam, and discover employment opportunities at UK technology companies.

The programme was jointly held by the British Embassy in Vietnam, NashTech Vietnam Company, British University Vietnam. and Universities Wales.

Speaking at the event, British Deputy Head of Mission Marcus Winsley said that Vietnam – UK cooperation on education, training, and technology play an important role in the development of bilateral ties.

He expressed his hope that through the programme, Da Nang students would have further information on affiliate programmes, scholarships and career opportunities in the UK for Vietnamese students following their graduation.

The roadshow is scheduled to next reach students in Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City.
