Global connectivity accelerating the deployment of Blockchain, AI, P2P Lending, and E-payment technologies

This is the topic for the seminar of Vinen –  the National Startup Association. Speakers are representatives of technology and trade from countries such as Finland, Bulgaria, Vietnam.

According to the Report of the General Statistics Office, in 2020, Vietnam’s GDP (gross domestic product) will increase 2.91% over the previous year. This number has gotten Vietnam to become one of the countries with the highest growth rates in the world.

Due to the rapid economic growth in recent years, Vietnamese businesses nowadays have more opportunities to break through and build a more developed economy. This is also the reason for Vinen to hold a seminar on “Vietnamese businesses: Global connection – Breakthrough” in the chain of “Thursday Coffee” – an event that takes place every Thursday hosted by Vinen. For this seminar, participants were: Dr. Daniel Dobrev – Trade Counselor of the Ministry of Economy and Bulgarian Republic Trade in Vietnam, Dr. Janne J. Korhonen – Finnish Blockchain Technology Expert and Dr. Dinh Viet Hoa – Chairman of Vinen National Startup Association, who directed the ceremony.

Dr. Janne J. Korhonen mentioned that Covid-19 has made us see the importance of connections between humans, commercial, and finance,… in modern days through the application of technology. Thanks to technology, the impossible has now become possible. In some sort of sense, Covid-19 can be considered a catastrophe to us humans, but at the same time, it also brings new opportunities, especially to countries like Vietnam. A prime example can be mentioned as the Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the European Union (EVFTA) which opened a large market of 500 million people or the Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. (UKVFTA).

Sharing the same point of view, Dr. Daniel Dobrev said that the pandemic has changed the surroundings but not our personal problems. Covid-19 has been promoting consumption growth in the digital fields. Online shopping and e-payment are now inevitable trends. In particular, peer-to-peer lending – P2P Lending is a very important factor, it helps lenders connect with people with lending capabilities, provides convenient, advanced, and safe remittance solutions. Plus, it overcomes the limitations of traditional money transfer service providers. That is the power of technology, blockchain, artificial intelligence: Finding out who has the lending capacity and those who need the loan.

The signing ceremony of an MOU on the deployment of Blockchain, AI, P2P Lending, and E-payment technology between Vinen and Alliance Joint Stock Company of ONPUN Technology Projects – representative of P2PGO (a technology company from Singapore) in Vietnam took place at the end of the seminar.

  • Researching and implementing Blockchain technology in the traceability of products, creating QR codes for convenient payment of goods via Vinen e-wallet.
  • Using Blockchain technology, AI; connecting Vinen e-wallet with products and services of Onpun, Onmoney, and P2PGO digital ecosystems; helping to promote activities such as supporting payments in the Sandbox environment, e-banking, e-purchase and sale contracts, e-signatures, e-invoices.

This cooperation between Vinen and ONPUN is expected to be the foundation for the deployment of Blockchain, AI, and E-payment technology in every sector of the economy. Especially when Vietnam started stepping into the new era of digitalization.

On the same day, ONPUN also signed another MOU with Vinamon – a technology company from Korea. Their mission is to develop the ecosystem and technology platform of the two sides. This is the premise for the Vinenmart platform to have many breakthroughs in the digital age.
