There will be about 3,000 fans allowed into Hang Day Stadium on a socially-distanced basis as reigning champions Hanoi FC play city rivals Viettel FC in the final match of the 2020 National Cup on September 20.
The Hanoi People’s Committee on Friday issued a document approving fans’ presence in the stands during tomorrow’s National Cup title decider.
Accordingly, the organising unit was asked to strictly implement COVID-19 prevention and control measures in the new normal period.
Fans must have their body temperature measured and hands sanitised before being admitted into the stadium. In addition, they will have to wear face masks and sit in stand A at a safe distance from one another as regulated.
Hanoi FC and Viettel FC qualified for the final of the 2020 National Cup following respective 5-1 and 2-1 semifinal victories over Ho Chi Minh City and Quang Ninh Coal on September 16.
Both are expected to treat their fans to a fierce but exciting encounter in the capital city derby, as Viettel are inspired to collect their first domestic title since returning to the top flight last season, while Hanoi FC are highly determined to defend their title.
