In a document sent to the Government Inspectorate, Bình requested inspectors to handle petitions regarding the Thai Hung Eco City urban project.
Specifically, Gia Sang Steel Rolling Mill was reported to have leased land, which was supposedly for the construction of steel rolling mill, to Thai Hung Commerce JSC.
However, the land use purposes was changed. A complex of housing, school and commercial buildings, which was named Thai Hung Eco City, has been built on the land.
In January, Binh asked Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee to inspect the revocation and conversion of land use purposes at Thai Hung Eco City project.
In January 30, Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee reported the results of the inspection to the Government.
From February to July, the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Justice, the Government Inspectorate and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment worked on the case.
However, during this time, the investor of the Thai Hung Eco City project started selling the apartments despite the project having been revoked pending further inspections.
Binh asked that the inspection’s results must be reported to the Government in the last three months of this year.
Thai Hung Eco City project was built with the investment capital of VND 2.1 trillion (US$90.3 million) on a 35ha area in Thai Nguyen City’s Gia Sang Ward.
