Da Nang establishes range of solutions to realise dual goal amidst COVID-19

NDO – Da Nang city has set a wide range of solutions to realise its dual goal of fighting COVID-19 while developing socio-economy and maintaining defence, security and social order.

These solutions were regulated in Decree No. 43/CT-TU, which was signed on September 3 by Secretary of the city’s Party Committee Truong Quang Nghia.

Accordingly, the party committees, authorities, and fronts at all levels, along with departments and organisations in the city, were requested to thoroughly grasp the city’s guidance and determination to fulfil the dual goal of fighting COVID-19 and preventing further spreading of the disease while maintaining socio-economic activities and ensuring defence, security and social order.

High-alert mode for COVID-19 must be switched on as the fight against the pandemic could last for a long time.

Adequate human resources, facilities and equipment must be ensured to maintain the city’s capacity in controlling, testing and containing the epidemic. Information technology should be further applied in the detection, contact tracing and treatment of COVID-19.

The city’s Party Committee also asked for strengthened collaboration between authorities at all levels and functional departments and agencies in containing COVID-19.

Prompt actions must be taken to resume business and production activities, ensuring social security towards once again making Da Nang a trustworthy and safe destination for investors and visitors at home and abroad.

The city’s People’s Committee and functional agencies have been ordered to review the epidemic prevention and control in order to draw lessons in building proper plans and scenarios for COVID-19 containment.

Meanwhile, stricter preventative measures must be adopted for schools, hospitals, workplaces, public places, markets, supermarkets and public transportation in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the community.

It is also necessary to strengthen management in residential areas, particularly those of foreigners, in order to curb the illegal entry of foreigners to the city.
